I won a skein of my choice from Storyteller Stitchery through The Yarnist's Colorwork Weekend Event and chose the Romance lace weight alpaca & silk blend in Autumn at Green Gables and knit up the Orchidée Shawl by Corinne Ouillon with just about 10 yards remaining from a single skein by following the pattern in entirety. (That pattern was designed for an 80% alpaca / 20% wool blend.)
What a perfect combination! Once it was blocked I had to rush out to get the perfect dress to wear with it, one I'd had my eye on already!

I'm not really a subscription knitter, but the combo of quality yarn, beautiful colorways, and exposure to literature I wouldn't otherwise read made me sign up for a trial run. And then, the boxes began to arrive. Every time I get that notice of a new box shipped, my heart skips a little. It's like Christmas and my birthday every single month, and the surprise is so delightful! 5 stars for sure!
I love this subscription. It's a different base and color based on a book. So very cool. Her dying is perfection.
I love these yarns, it has inspired me to pick up the books and expand my reading. I love the different colors and yarns and it has even helped me pick out patterns and expand my knitting. The colors are so well done and the packaging is fun. Highly recommend!
