Do I need needlepoint experience to stitch these?
Not at all. Each canvas in this advent comes with an instruction booklet covering everything you need to get started, including how to thread your needle, the basic stitches used (fully illustrated, step by step), and a printed chart of the design for reference. You'll also have access to an online companion space with additional stitching guidance and ideas, opening this December, included with every kit. If you can thread a needle, you can start stitching on day one.
Does the needlepoint advent include complete kits?
Yes. The needlepoint advent includes four 18ct canvases and all the hand-dyed Moonspun 100% silk and Seren wool-silk thread needed to fully stitch each design. They are beautifully suited to be finished as a coordinating set of ornaments, though you can finish them however you prefer.
Does the needlepoint advent include everything I need to complete the projects?
Yes! Every canvas comes with all the hand-dyed Moonspun 100% silk and Seren wool-silk thread needed to fully stitch each design, plus step-by-step instructions, printed charts, a themed project bag, needle minder, and needles. Each finished piece is ready to frame as-is. If you'd like to finish your canvases into ornaments, small pillows, or another format, that's a separate step, basic finishing supplies (such as batting, backing fabric, or ornament forms) aren't included, but we're happy to point you toward options.
Does the yarn advent include a pattern?
No pattern is included, but I've curated a collection of advent-friendly patterns on Ravelry to help you plan your December making. Are the yarn advent stitch markers suitable for crochet?
Yes, the stitch markers come on pins making them perfect for knit and crochet projects. You can also use them as a progress keeper, or even a project bag charm!
Is this a preorder?
Yes. This is a limited preorder. Your order and payment secures your place, and your box ships in early November. We have a limited number of boxes due to the hand-dyed yarn and threads. Once sold out, this advent will not be restocked.
When does it ship?
All advent boxes ship in early November, so your parcel arrives well before December 1st. You'll receive tracking information once your box is on its way.
Does it come in an advent box? How is it packaged?
Yes, this year's box will be similar to our gorgeous Narnia themed advent box from 2025, with 24 daily boxes to open, all packaged within a beautiful and reusable Wind in the Willows themed box.
Does the price include shipping?
Yes. U.S. shipping is included in the price. International shipping is calculated at checkout.
Can I cancel my order?
Because each advent is hand-dyed and custom-prepared to order, all sales are final. Please review your order carefully before checkout, as we're unable to accept cancellations or changes once your preorder is placed.
Does it contain anything Christmas-specific or religious?
No. While it follows the tradition of a daily December countdown, this advent is entirely themed to the world of Wind in the Willows. There are no Christmas or religious elements.
Can I add other items to my advent order?
No, please place a separate order for advent, and any additional items. The advent box ships as its own parcel to make sure it arrives safely and on time. It fills the box, and there is no space to add additional items.
If you are ordering two advent boxes, e.g. a yarn and a needlepoint advent, you can order them both at the same time in one order.
