Where Story and Craft Meet

Storyteller Stitchery creates hand-dyed silk and merino wool thread, yarn, and story-inspired needlepoint kits, dyed in small batches in our Arizona studio.

We make for knitters, crocheters, spinners, embroiderers, and needlepoint stitchers who want their materials to feel as intentional as the story behind them.

A Studio Rooted in Story

Story-Inspired Yarn, Thread, and Kits

Every Storyteller Stitchery collection begins with a story. Sometimes it’s a character, a place, or an adventure pulled from the pages of a beloved book. Other times, it’s the story of a landscape, a season, or a sense of place that sparks the idea.

We draw from these narratives to develop color, texture, and materials — creating hand-dyed yarns, fibers, threads, and kits designed to invite exploration, creativity, and personal interpretation.

Meet the Maker

I’m Melissa, the founder and creative director of Storyteller Stitchery.

As a lifelong maker and reader, I believe stories and craft belong together. I design each collection with care in our Arizona studio, guided by a love of literature, nature, and hands-on making. The goal is simple: to bring color, intention, and delight to your creative practice.

Hand-Dyed Yarn and Fiber for Makers

Everything we offer is created by hand and dyed in small batches in our Arizona studio. We focus on:

  • Thoughtful color development
  • High-quality natural fibers and threads
  • Materials suitable for knitting, crochet, spinning, embroidery, and needlepoint

Whether you’re working a sweater, spinning yarn, or finishing a stitched piece, every product is crafted with care for your making experience.

Designed to Feel Welcoming

Beautiful craft shouldn’t feel intimidating.

Our kits and materials are designed to be approachable and confidence-building — whether you’re trying a new fiber art for the first time or returning to a familiar skill after years away. There’s no single “right” way to make here.

A Creative Community

Storyteller Stitchery is more than materials and kits. Through the Storyteller Stitchery Society, shared projects, workshops, and conversations, we foster a community rooted in slow craft, storytelling, and connection.

Whether you stitch, knit, crochet, spin, or move between crafts, you’re part of the story.
