Refund policy
Returns (Domestic Orders)
We have a 14-day return policy for domestic (U.S.) orders, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition, with proof of purchase.
Damage or use includes, but is not limited to: caked or cut yarn, altered or stitched canvas, missing kit components, pet hair, smoke or strong odors, and any signs of use beyond inspection.
Items returned in an unsellable condition are not eligible for a refund and will not be returned to the customer.
A 5% restocking fee per item applies to all approved returns. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
To start a return, please contact us at support@storytellerstitchery.com. If your return is approved, we’ll send instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages, Missing Items & Order Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or missing items, please contact us at support@storytellerstitchery.com within 14 days of receiving your package so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If we do not hear from you within 14 days of delivery, we may be unable to replace missing or damaged items.
Address Input Errors & Undeliverable Packages
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.
If an order is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address, or because an address was not updated, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
If return shipping is not paid within 30 days, any non-refundable items will be forfeited. If you need help correcting an address, please contact support@storytellerstitchery.com as soon as possible.
Items Not Eligible for Return
The following items are not eligible for return: Storyteller Stitchery Society subscriptions and Society boxes, Caked yarn, preorder items, dyed-to-order or custom purchases, tea and other perishable goods, sale items, retiring items, holiday-themed items, and gift cards.

Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges.
The fastest way to ensure you receive what you want is to return the original item (if eligible). Once the return is approved, you may place a new order for the replacement item.
International Orders
At this time, international orders are not eligible for return, except where required by law.
European Union Customers
If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification, in accordance with EU consumer protection laws.
Returned items must be unused, in original condition and packaging, and include proof of purchase. Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your approved return, we’ll notify you whether the refund has been approved.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that your bank or credit card provider may take additional time to process and post the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you have not received it, please contact support@storytellerstitchery.com.
Purchases Made Through Stockists
We can only accept returns for orders purchased directly from Storyteller Stitchery. Items purchased through local yarn shops or other stockists must be returned to the original retailer and are subject to that retailer’s return policy.
