Pour a mug of something warm, light a candle, and settle in. This is a Christmas embroidery retreat in a box! Three gingerbread embroidery ornaments, everything you need to stitch and finish them, video lessons to keep you company, and a few indulgent treats tucked inside for you to discover.
After the amazing response to our Song of the Garden Bandit kit collaboration, Jessica and I wanted to make something together again, and this time it had to be for Christmas. Jessica designed three gingerbread ornaments around my hand-dyed threads: glossy silk for the candies and twinkling lights, and soft merino wool and silk for gooey, thick piped frosting. Every thread in the box is hand-dyed in our Arizona studio.

Snowflake Cookie. The perfect place to begin. Simple, foundational stitches while you get a feel for silk and merino wool-silk hand-dyed threads.

Gingerbread Cottage. The centerpiece. Layered stitch combinations bring the candies and frosting to life, like decorating a real gingerbread house. Some stitches are a stretch for new stitchers, and Jessica's videos walk you through them with modifications and alternatives.

This box is made for beginners and experienced stitchers alike. Alongside the printed instruction booklet and Beginner Guide, Jessica guides you through all three designs in a series of video lessons, so it feels like stitching beside a friend on a winter afternoon.

- White and gingerbread cotton fabric, printed with all three embroidery designs
- A fat quarter of white cotton to stabilize and brighten your printed fabric (and for practicing stitches)
- 4 inch and 6 inch beechwood embroidery hoops
- 10 hand-dyed thread colors: 4 in Awen (80% merino wool / 20% silk) and 6 in Moonspun (100% silk), gathered on a ring with a laser-cut birch gingerbread cottage charm
- A pack of hand embroidery needles
- A roll of Thimtec thimble tape
- Stork embroidery scissors
- A color printed instruction booklet with a link to Jessica's video lessons, and a printed Beginner Guide with stitch diagrams
